1. Who is responsible for your information?
Laser & More Clinic is operated by Laser and More Clinic LLC, trade licence number 1520200, and holds DHA facility licence number 2387378.
We are located at First Floor, Bin Sougat Centre, above McDonald's, Al Rashidiya, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
For privacy questions or requests, contact info@laserandmore.ae.
2. Applicable privacy requirements
We handle personal information under the UAE privacy requirements applicable to the information and activity concerned.
The UAE Personal Data Protection Law, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, applies where relevant. Health information regulated by specific legislation is governed by the applicable health-data rules, including Federal Law No. 2 of 2019 concerning information and communications technology in health fields and relevant DHA requirements.
3. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we collect information such as:
- Identity and contact information: your name, telephone number, email address, date of birth and identification details where required.
- Appointment information: booking requests, appointment dates, requested services and attendance history.
- Health and treatment information: medical history, medication, allergies, relevant health conditions, assessment findings, consent forms and treatment records.
- Payment information: amounts paid, transaction references, payment method and package balances.
- Communications: enquiries, feedback, complaints and messages sent through our contact channels.
- Parent information: details and consent documentation where a parent accompanies a client under 18.
- Website information: information collected through the website's technical operation and the services described in the cookies section below.
Please avoid sending detailed medical information through general website forms, email or WhatsApp unless we direct you to an appropriate channel.
4. Why we use your information
We use information as needed to:
- Respond to enquiries and manage appointments.
- Assess treatment suitability and provide care.
- Document informed consent and maintain medical records.
- Process payments and manage packages.
- Send appointment confirmations, reminders and necessary service updates.
- Investigate complaints and administer approved refunds or transfers.
- Meet legal, accounting and healthcare obligations.
- Protect our systems and investigate misuse.
Depending on the activity and applicable law, processing may be based on consent, providing an agreed service, or meeting legal and healthcare obligations.
5. Medical records and Medas
The clinic uses Medas for booking and medical-record management.
Health information is confidential. Access is limited to authorised people who need it for care, clinic administration, system support or a lawful regulatory purpose.
Medas is a secure, encrypted third-party platform. Records are protected by access controls, and only authorised clinic staff and the provider's authorised support personnel can access them.
6. Payments and instalment providers
We accept cash, card payments, bank transfers and eligible instalment payments through Tabby or Tamara.
ADCB processes our card-terminal payments. Tabby and Tamara process their respective instalment transactions under their own terms and privacy notices.
We retain payment records needed to administer your account and meet applicable obligations. Payment providers may collect additional information directly from you to process payments or assess eligibility.
Please do not send full card details through email, WhatsApp or general website forms.
7. Who receives your information?
Information may be shared where necessary with:
- Practitioners and authorised clinic staff.
- Medas and authorised technical support providers.
- ADCB, Tabby, Tamara and relevant banking providers.
- Providers supporting our website: Hostinger (website hosting) and Cloudflare (website security and delivery).
- Providers supporting our communications: our email service for info@laserandmore.ae and WhatsApp (Meta).
- Regulators, courts or other authorities where required or permitted by law.
We limit disclosures to the information needed for the relevant purpose.
8. WhatsApp and other communications
You may contact us through WhatsApp, phone or email for appointments and general enquiries.
WhatsApp is a third-party service operated by Meta and is subject to its own terms and privacy policy. Other communication providers also handle information under their own applicable policies.
For sensitive medical discussions, contact the clinic so we can advise you on the appropriate communication method.
9. Marketing messages
The clinic does not currently operate a promotional opt-in programme.
Appointment reminders and necessary messages about your treatment or payments are service communications.
If we introduce promotional subscriptions, we will explain how information will be used, obtain consent where required and provide a way to unsubscribe. Booking an appointment does not itself constitute consent to promotional messages.
10. Cookies and website tracking
Our website is built to collect as little as possible:
- No analytics, advertising or session-recording tools. The website does not currently use Google Analytics, Google Ads tracking, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity or similar tools. If we add any of them, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where required.
- Website security. Our security and delivery provider, Cloudflare, may set a short-lived technical cookie to protect the website from automated abuse. It does not identify you personally.
- Google reviews. Pages that show our Google reviews load them through a third-party reviews service (Trustindex), with reviewer photos served by Google. These services receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type when the reviews load.
- Maps. Google Maps loads only when you tap "Show map" (and, on our locations page, when you scroll to the map). Google may then set its own cookies under the Google privacy policy.
- Booking form. Information you enter in the booking form is sent by email to the clinic so we can contact you. It is not used for advertising.
- Fonts and images are served from our own website, not from third-party font services.
Because the website does not use non-essential tracking cookies, it does not currently show a cookie consent banner. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.
11. Photography and filming
We use models for promotional photography and video content. Identifiable model content is handled according to the relevant permissions and agreed use.
If clinical photographs are needed for your care, their purpose will be explained and they will be handled as confidential treatment information.
Any use of identifiable patient photographs for advertising, social media or other promotional purposes requires separate, explicit consent. Refusing promotional use will not affect your care.
You may contact us to withdraw consent for future promotional use. Withdrawal does not invalidate earlier lawful use, and we will explain any limits on removing material already distributed.
12. Storage and international processing
Health information is subject to specific UAE requirements governing storage, access and transfers.
Details of where Medas records, backups, website hosting and other relevant systems are located, and any authorised overseas processing, are available on request.
Third-party communication and payment providers may process information in different locations. Any arrangements involving health information must be assessed under the health-data requirements that apply to the clinic.
13. How long information is kept
Health information covered by the UAE health ICT law must be retained for at least 25 years from the last health procedure, and longer where another applicable requirement calls for it.
Other information is retained for the time needed for its purpose and any applicable legal obligations, including accounting requirements and the handling of disputes.
- Unsuccessful enquiries that do not become appointments: 12 months after the last contact.
- Ordinary correspondence unrelated to treatment, payments or disputes: 2 years after the matter closes.
- Model permissions (consent to use someone's photos or videos in marketing): while the content is used, plus a justified period to keep proof of consent.
Information is securely deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed and no retention obligation applies.
14. Protecting your information
We are responsible for applying appropriate safeguards to personal and health information, including access restrictions and confidentiality requirements.
No system can guarantee complete security. Suspected privacy or security incidents will be investigated, with notifications made where required by applicable law.
15. Your privacy requests
Subject to the law applicable to your information, you may request:
- Access to your personal information or medical records.
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion where no lawful retention requirement applies.
- Restriction of certain uses where available.
- Withdrawal of consent for consent-based activities.
- A portable copy of information where applicable.
We may verify your identity before responding. Medical records cannot be deleted where retention is legally required. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.
Send requests to info@laserandmore.ae. We will respond within the applicable legal timeframe and explain any relevant exceptions.
You may also raise a concern with the competent healthcare or data-protection authority, depending on the information involved.
16. Clients under 18
Clients under 18 must attend with their mother or father for the required consent process.
We collect the information needed to assess suitability, document parental consent and provide appropriate care. Please do not submit a child's detailed medical information through general website forms.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, systems or legal requirements change. The latest version will appear on this page with its update date. Additional notice will be provided where appropriate or required.
